I decided that I'd work on my pacing and storytelling a bit and try reworking a page that I didn't think was especially successful. (No offense to the original writer/artist pair, both of whom I admire greatly.)
Page 4 on Teen Titans #12 really jumped out at me as having some unusual choices in focal points and story beats, so I made that my project. I made some notes on dialogue that I'd tweak, and I got the basic thumbnails hammered out pretty quickly. I like where it's going, though the finishes are obviously taking me a bit longer than I was hoping for. I got a bit of conversation with the original artist, Brett Booth, over some costuming details and complaints, though I'm not sure it was especially helpful or as positive as I'd have liked.
Despite making solid progress at first, I wasn't happy with some positioning on a few panels, so those need to be reimagined and reworked, having taken the eraser to them as a whole.
I think I need to just push through and get it done, rather than over-sweating the details. It's just a practice page, after all.
